Spirituality – what does that mean to you?
Spirituality is a word that makes some humanists uncomfortable; they think spirituality is the preserve of religion, but we disagree, and we’re not alone.
Lindsay de Wal is the first humanist to lead an NHS Chaplaincy team, and as she said, “A lot of people don’t have an organised faith, but they still have spiritual and emotional needs at difficult times. Often people are trying to make sense of their lives and the situations they find themselves in.”
We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be joined by a special guest, the Reverend Dr. Harriet Harris MBE, who’s the Head of Chaplaincy at the University of Edinburgh, and we look forward very much to hearing her thoughts, but what are yours?
Our meetings are on Zoom and open to anyone who’d like to join the discussion. Please email us, or simply join Humankind and we’ll send you a link to access the call prior to the meeting.
